About Me:
Cathy Scott (32) is an experienced, fully qualified JNC2 (DeMontfort University), youth worker with seven years experience in this field. She has experience in centre based, detached and outreach youth work. She mostly works with NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and also with young people with special needs. She is experienced in creating and delivering alternative curricular programs and is experienced with accreditation. She has managed a centre and full staff team as a senior youth worker and has been a team leader in the voluntary youth work sector. All of her work incorporates the core principles of youth work e.g. anti-oppressive practice and informally raising social and political issues for young people. She also delivered level 1 in youth work training and child protection training.

What We Can Offer:
There is scope to deliver one-off workshops and projects each tailor-made to suit the needs of the young people. Our work complies with the Transforming Youth Work and Agenda.

All of our work incorporates anti-oppressive practice, positive learning and working to agreed boundaries in a safe environment. It is also young person focused, with young people involved in all aspects of the decision making.

Ultimately all informal education should be informative, educational and enjoyable.
